The keyboard does not transmit what you type

The TypeTab keyboard extension operates without Full Access. It does not send or collect typed text, code, document context, custom snippet content, contacts, precise location, photos, media, or browsing history.

Keyboard settings and custom snippets are stored on the device in the shared TypeTab app container so the app and keyboard extension can use them.

Containing-app analytics

The containing TypeTab app uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand onboarding completion, keyboard setup, feature use, paywall interactions, and purchase-flow outcomes. Depending on Firebase platform behavior, this processing may include product interactions, product identifiers, an installation identifier, and diagnostic information.

TypeTab does not use this information for advertising and does not use it to track people across other companies’ apps or websites. Typed keyboard content is not included in analytics events.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple. TypeTab may receive the purchased product identifier, entitlement status, and purchase outcome needed to unlock TypeTab Pro and measure the purchase flow. TypeTab does not receive payment-card details.

Service provider and retention

Google Firebase processes analytics and diagnostic data on TypeTab’s behalf. This data is retained only for product operation, measurement, troubleshooting, and legal obligations, then deleted or anonymized according to the configured service controls.

Support communications

If you contact TypeTab, we process your email address and the information you choose to include so we can answer your request, investigate problems, and consider feedback. Do not send passwords, private code, or other sensitive content. Support communications are retained only as reasonably necessary to handle the request and meet legal obligations.

Your choices

You can turn off analytics at any time in TypeTab’s Setup tab under Privacy → Share App Analytics. Turning it off stops future analytics collection and resets the app’s Firebase Analytics data on that device.

You can remove locally stored TypeTab data by deleting custom snippets and settings or uninstalling the app.
